Your Opportunity


DynaMedex is a leading online evidence-based point-of-care medical reference. It is a rapidly growing, comprehensive clinical decision resource that provides the most current and useful synthesized evidence and recommendations with the quickest time-to-answer.


We are seeking an Associate Managing Editor (AME) to join the Infectious Diseases and Immunology Team.


AMEs are part of our highly skilled team of methodological and clinical experts whose mission is to provide comprehensive evidence-based guidance and information to healthcare professionals at the point of care. They are leaders who continuously drive the adoption, application, and evolution of the principles of evidence-based medicine through mentorship and management of an editorial team. In conjunction with senior leadership, they are responsible for core editorial production that meets both quality and productivity standards.


This is a remote/hybrid position with options to work fully remotely or come to our office in Ipswich, MA.


What You’ll Do


  • Coordinate core editorial production within specialty area(s), working closely with Deputy Editor, external specialists, and recommendation editors
  • Manage and mentor members of team, develop expertise of editorial personnel, and nurture career development pathways for direct reports (includes formal performance assessments of direct report)
  • Promote alignment of personal and team goals with DynaMedex goals and initiatives
  • Lead working groups or task forces committed to editorial or other guidance creation

You will be welcomed as a member of the DynaMedex Editorial Team, a team of about 110 people, and the larger EBSCO Information Services organization. Our team enjoys the flexibility and greater work life balance working remotely offers. There will be ample resources, tools, training, and support to ensure your success as a Medical Writer and your development and career growth at EIS.


About You


  • Advanced degree in a relevant field (or 4 years of relevant experience)
  • > 3 years editing experience related to medical or scientific content
  • > 1 year experience delivering training or providing feedback in a mentorship capacity
  • Demonstrated ability to apply critical appraisal and statistical skills

  • Background or interest in biostatistics, epidemiology, public health, or clinical research
  • Strong commitment to quality and mentoring others
  • Experience in management of personnel and/or projects, and experience in a multi- or inter-disciplinary environment, as well as exposure to matrix reporting


Our Offer to You


Target Annual Compensation

Target Annual Compensation Range: $105,900 - $151,285. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, education, training, and experience, as well as the position’s work location.
