The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) manages the efficient flow of electricity on more than 11,000 circuit-miles of high-voltage transmission lines, dispatching power from hundreds of generating units across the state. The NYISO’s Interconnection Studies group invites applications for a full-time Associate Planning Engineer.
The Associate Planning Engineer, Interconnection Studies will coordinate, perform and review technical studies related to the interconnection of proposed new generation, transmission and load facilities to the New York State transmission system. As well as assist in coordinating with other System & Resource Planning groups and NYISO departments to prepare various reports and filings as necessary. This individual will also be responsible for responding to customer, regulator or other outside inquiries and assist in development /review of new or modified documents such as tariffs, manuals, reliability standards, etc.
