Associate Principal Engineer

Role Summary
Job Description: Participate in and drive customer network design with Business Development team. Compose Solution description documents, CIQ Comprising Network Design and Acceptance test plans based on feature requirements. Collect and validate customer network acceptance criteria for NFV Kubernetes/Openstack Cloud based IMS solution. Identify key internal technical stake holders and ensure solution agreed with customer part of product roadmap strategy. Review product readiness and associated documentation, based on customer requirements. Identify and drive resolution of any shortfalls in deployed nodes. Negotiate certification and deployment project plans with company and customer project management teams. Technically drive overall customer acceptance activities. Compose Method of procedures (MOPs) for lab/production activities. Prepare Descriptors, Helm Charts to Deploy, configure CaaS, PaaS to setup the Applications, Kubernetes cluster in both lab and production environments. Manage lab validations and production deployment integration efforts. Serve as onsite support and participate in lab trials and certifications and provide subject matter expertise. Manage escalations, provide root cause analysis, workarounds, appropriate architectural solutions and fixes for lab and production issues. Position is fixed location based in the Texas office; however, telecommuting 10% of the time from a home office may also be allowed.

Job Requirements
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication, Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a directly related field plus five (5) years of experience in Telecommunications Engineering, or a Master’s degree in Electronics and Communication, Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a directly related field plus two (2) years of experience in Telecommunications Engineering.
Experience must include the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
- Network deployment design, implementation, and tools/methods for maintaining the network
- Testing interoperability and features of TAS, CSCF, (I/S), MRF, and BGCF
- SIP, Diameter, Sigtran, LDAP, DNS, TCP, UDP, VLAN, SDN, Audio and Video codecs, Wireshark
- Openstack, VMWare, KVM, and Ceph
- Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) concepts including VNFM, EMS
- Linux troubleshooting skills
- Couchbase, confd, MySQL
