Job Description


POSITION SUMMARY
:

Quality Engineer aims to ensure that the product or service an organization provides is fit for purpose and meets both external and internal requirements, including legal compliance and customer expectations. The incumbent will be assigned to our Engines Dept.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential functions of this position are:

  • Promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
  • Develop, implement, communicate and maintain a quality plan to bring the Company’s Quality Systems and Policies into compliance with quality system requirements.
  • Effectively interact with Operations, Engineering and other functional areas to identify, develop and implement Quality requirements for new programs.
  • Set up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures, to include multi skilling matrices.
  • Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The incumbent works in a repair shop environment and is regularly exposed to loud noise, airborne particles, large machinery and moving part. Required personal protection equipment is provided and by the company and is required when working in the shop: steel toe shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.


Qualifications


EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Manufacturing (Aerospace) experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
  • High attention to detail required
  • Capable of producing detailed and accurate data
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • FAA 14CFR 21 or 145 experience
  • Certificates in Lean or 6 sigma process improvement preferred
  • Experience with gas turbine components desired.
  • Product/Dimensional Engineering experience a plus.

Salary Range: $65,100 - $97,700 / year
