The Associate Scientist, Microelectronics role is responsible for providing performance data to R&D, Marketing, Manufacturing, Sales and Quality that enable their ability to serve our customers in the Microelectronics industry. They are part of a dynamic team that develops and standardizes new test methods that allows us to characterize our materials and products in ways that as closely as possible mimics their end-use. There are emphasis placed on continued learning project and growth opportunities in this group.
This position is a part of the Microelectronics, Scientific and Laboratory Services department and will be located in Port Washington, NY.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Provide technical support to cross-functional teams by testing filtration media, validating product performance and performing contamination reduction studies
-
Plan and execute laboratory experiments and standard tests without supervision in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP).
-
Document complete and accurate testing results and observations
-
Maintain project timelines and communicate potential scheduling conflicts with Lab Manager and requestors
-
Adhere to site and SLS specific quality and environmental, health and safety (EHS) standards
The essential requirements of the job include:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering,
-
1–3 years of work experience, with hands-on lab work as a major component; familiarity with some or all wet chemical, ICP-MS, chromatography (ion, liquid and/or gas), thermogravimetric analysis
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Industrial/Chemistry Laboratory experience

Working with analytical equipment

The salary range for this role is $70,000 - 82,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
