Position Responsibilities

This Solutions Engineer's primary role is to support the sale of Vantagepoint to clients in the professional services industries. The secondary role is to work with Regional Sales Managers with assigned accounts to achieve significant sales and profit growth to meet or exceed quotas. Proactively work with customer care, sales management and related support departments to ensure on time sales & marketing needs are met or exceeded. Ensure Deltek products are presented to maintain customer care revenue and increase net new revenue.

Qualifications

  • Responsible for maintaining current client base and increasing sales volume and margin with existing and new accounts.
  • Prepare and perform detailed product demonstrations for prospects and existing customers.
  • Partner with Sales to conduct pre-sales discussions with sales reps to strategize on sales approach and offer product advice.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to create assets to support sales of Vantagepoint.
  • Partner with Product Management to provide feedback and act as voice of the customer.
  • Coordinate business development activities with other team members within company.
  • Develop and updates demo scripts, demo databases, and answers RFPs.
  • Assist Sales Managers in qualifying prospects from a functional and business process perspective to support sales goals and annual sales plays.
  • Good understanding of the complex sales cycle.
  • Enthusiastic about ERP software and related technology with detailed knowledge of Project Accounting and Project Management.
  • Experience servicing an ERP sales environment, with a preference on knowledge of Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint.
  • Analytical / problem solving skills.
  • Positive, energetic, "can-do" attitude. Motivated, nimble, self-starter
  • Leverage, develop and maintain Solutions Engineering learning tools
  • Represents company and demonstrates product at sales and marketing events.
  • Actively support the corporation's Win Strategy.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively present to Executive Management.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 30%+ Travel required
