Medtronic is currently recruiting for our Global Supply Management Leadership Development Program. As a participant in the program, you will rotate through three different Global Supply Management assignments over the course of two years, spending eight months in each assignment, gaining specific job and industry knowledge relative to Supply Management.

Located in our operational headquarters in Minneapolis, MN, you will gain a wide breadth of experience and be exposed to a variety of business functions. Other benefits include an assigned mentor, access to strategic leaders throughout the organization and continuous learning activities that will enrich your mind, broaden your perspective, and improve leadership skills.

This program is geared for exceptional recent graduates who demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills and who are open to exploring a variety of Supply Management assignments. Following the conclusion of the two-year cycle, you will transition to a new position within in the company where your strengths are best suited according to the needs of the business.

A Day in the Life

As the Associate Strategic Sourcing Specialist within our rotation program, you will:

  • Provide project management and sourcing expertise to cross-functional, cross-divisional commodity teams, with a focus on execution of Sourcing events (supplier quotes, questionnaires, RFPs, RFIs and e-auctions) via the Ariba Sourcing Platform. Supports both direct and indirect spend categories.
  • Facilitate these teams in the development and execution of long-term strategies that will optimize Medtronic's position in terms of quality, cycle/response time, technology, risk, total cost, diversity, sustainability, and should-cost comparison.
  • Mitigate risk, leverages technology and purchase power, improves processes and systems, and reduces overall cost of ownership and acquisition
  • Participate in hands on observational learning alongside Global Supply Management leaders.

  • Previous internship experience
  • Supplier relationship management experience

The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
