Purpose
The Senior Project Manager is a remote, grant-funded position that manages and directs a grant-funded training program (the project) designed to facilitate data submission and data use of the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) Postsecondary Data Partnership (PDP) at college and universities. The project includes development and delivery of virtual workshops, courses, video tutorials, discussion boards, and other relevant resources to support institutional engagement with the PDP. The position is funded by a one-year grant, with potential for continued employment contingent upon future funding.
Essential Functions
Oversight & Coordination
· In collaboration with supervisor, operationalize project objectives and manage relevant resources (expertise, technology, tools, etc.)
· Manage project activities, timelines, and outputs to ensure that project deliverables are completed on-time and within budget
· Create detailed project schedules and work plans for each project output, including assigned tasks for contributors (staff, subject matter experts, contractors, etc.)
· Create and document processes to support clear expectations around grant outputs
· Coordinate with AIR staff to effectively utilize tools, resources, and internal procedures for seamless project delivery
· Manage recruitment and identification of subject matter experts
· Manage and oversee the work of the Project Coordinator
Reporting & Assessment
· Provide progress reports to relevant parties, monitor and review project updates and deliverables, and troubleshoot challenges and delays
· Draft grant reports in tandem with supervisor
· Oversee tracking of individual and institutional engagement with project initiatives
· Monitor the results of course and workshop evaluations to identify areas for improvement and future training needs
Communications & Outreach
· Manage relationships with project contributors (subject matter experts, contractors, partner organizations) to ensure effective communication and delivery of project outputs
· Coordinate with AIR and relevant partners’ marketing teams to disseminate project information
· Lead regular team meetings and utilize other communication to facilitate effective project planning, problem solving, and delegation
· Represent AIR at meetings and conferences as needed to disseminate project information and build partnerships
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training, experience, and/or certifications
· At least 3 years of project management or related experience
· Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
