Asst Database Administrator

Southeastern Louisiana University’s Office of Technology invites applications for the position of Assistant Database Administrator. The Assistant Database Administrator has a wide variety of complex, evolving, and highly diverse responsibilities which include assisting the Database Team Coordinator with Oracle Database Administration, PeopleSoft Administration, and Workday project migrations. Oracle DBA tasks include maintaining, monitoring, troubleshooting, and providing operational support over the use of relational databases. PeopleSoft Administration tasks include maintaining legacy PeopleSoft Financials and Human Resources Management as well as upgrading, troubleshooting, configuring, patching, and monitoring PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.2. This position also assists with PeopleSoft security administration. The successful candidate will be expected to work on campus.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university by hire date

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent communication skills
Experience working in Higher Education
