Job Title: Accounts Payable ClerkJob DescriptionThe Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the payment or distribution of all accounts payable related transactions to support the operations of all campuses. This includes all invoices, reimbursements, refunds, credits, and related transactions, issued by all payment methodologies. The position ensures payment of payables and related credits in an accurate and timely manner, while ensuring compliance with all applicable policies and regulations. The position provides outstanding levels of services to all stakeholders, both internal and external to the organization.• Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.• Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts payable data.• Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.• Verify discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues.• Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.• Generate reports detailing accounts payable status.• Maintain vendor files and records.• Process employee expense reports.• Ensure timely payment of invoices.• Assist with month-end closing procedures.• Provide necessary information and reports for audits.• Maintain confidentiality of organizational information.Hard Skills• Accounts Payable• Accounting Software• Vendor CommunicationSoft Skills• Attention to Detail• Communication• Collaboration• Problem-SolvingAbout Aston Carter:Aston Carter provides world-class corporate talent solutions to thousands of clients across the globe.
