Apply to learn more!Job Title: Procurement SpecialistJob Description• As a Procurement Specialist, you are responsible for managing all associated parts assigned MRP messages, including but not limited to buy, expedite, defer, and cancel.• You will collaborate with home site and engineering teams on DCR communications for assigned commodities or suppliers as directed.• Your role ensures that supplier metrics are established and met, and BSP usage is maximized towards a 100% goal.• You will be involved in purchasing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment, focusing on optimizing price, delivery, and terms, with an annual purchasing volume of $3-5 million.• This role requires active participation in the development of products with suppliers, handling items that often involve complex or obsolete designs and technologies. You will own the performance of assigned suppliers, particularly in delivery, cost, and capacity/recovery schedule performance, and will be required to address and escalate issues impacting production.• Additionally, you will review and issue purchase requisitions, expedite as necessary, and work cross-functionally with various engineering and operational teams to coordinate purchase timing, quantities, pricing, and the delivery/storage of goods. You will also perform other related duties and projects as required.Hard Skills• Expedite production supply requirements utilizing JDE MRP/ERP systems• Ability to read technical drawings and identify material call-outs• Knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) structure• Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a manufacturing environmentSoft Skills• Strong communication skills• Ability to work cross-functionally• Problem-solving skills• Time management skillsJob TypeThis is a contract position with a duration of 5 monthsWork SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Lenexa, Kansas.Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a manufacturing setting with core hours from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
