BuyerJob DescriptionThe Buyer will manage appropriate inventory levels and work with vendors for the purchase of materials, supplies, and services. The job includes communicating with suppliers, managing logistics and inventories. This position will participate in cross-functional teams to meet sales demands.• Oversee supply chain and import logistics operations to maximize efficiency and minimize cost.• Collaborate with multiple teams planning and executing the development of new vendor operational procedures to enable the company to meet business objectives.• Manage, monitor, and communicate with vendors while overseeing their performance to ensure they meet company’s requirements.• Maintain monthly/weekly reports.• Review MRP, issuance of PO’s and acting on Advance/Postpone messages. Update and maintain Purchase Orders.• Maintain procurement records such as cost or receipts. Work with the compliance team with any purchase price or quantity discrepancies for accurate customs clearance.• Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or QC personnel and vendors to determine the source of the problem and facilitate corrective action or return.• Identify imbalances between supply and demand and work to correct the imbalances of targeted inventory levels.Hard Skills• Purchasing• Buying• Supply Chain• Negotiation• ERP• Microsoft Dynamics• LogisticsAbout Aston CarterAston Carter provides world-class corporate talent solutions to thousands of clients across the globe.
