Sr. Retail Marketing Manager

Job Description Overview: 
Sr. Retail Marketing Manager (manager) – Partner internally and with Best Buy on strategic marketing opportunities by leading full funnel and drive-time campaigns, with the objective of driving the ASUS Gaming brands and products in the US.
This role requires strong digital and in-store planning and execution skills, consumer electronics product knowledge, and account management that deliver proven results.
The Sr. Retail Marketing Manager leads key brand strategies and product launches for Gaming products, along with partnerships with the consumer electronics ecosystem for these categories. This person helps guide local and global marketing teams to implement GTMs that support the retail efforts at Best Buy. He/she will also leverage marketing analytics to help guide future strategies, adapting launch plans for desirable sales results and marketing ROI. This person is effective at working strategically and proactively to recognize potential bottlenecks and opportunities to continue to grow awareness, consideration, and conversion for these brands and products.
The successful candidate has strong organizational skills, is detailed oriented, able to work well under tight deadlines, and cross-functionally, managing multiple full funnel campaigns at the same time. He/she has excellent written and verbal communication skills, management skills, and possesses strong interpersonal skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Work closely with the ASUS Best Buy marketing team and Retail Marketing Director on ASUS ROG marketing campaigns that will be executed at Best Buy.
  • Team-lead example of proactiveness and focus when planning and executing applicable marketing activations.
  • Guide local marketing teams on strategy for US launches to include the retail customer, relevant messaging, and target audiences.
  • Plan, execute, adjust, and measure always-on marketing activities for Gaming categories to obtain the best marketing and sales ROI.
  • Lead full funnel campaigns and ASUS global launches at Best Buy for these categories.
  • Lead conversations with key ecosystem partners to broaden ASUS products visibility in the US.
  • Analyze data and marketing insights to implement the best tactics that will translate into positive sales results.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to gain knowledge on products timing and weekly business results.
  • Work with external agencies to execute in-store projects for key product launches for these categories.
  • Daily contact with Best Buy Marketing including weekly calls to discuss open items and status.
  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews with SBG-R team and provide support to the Retail Marketing Director in North America Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Lead SBG-R marketing budget management in partnership with the Retail Marketing Director.
     
Required Qualifications: 
Years of Education 
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in marketing, business, or related.

Work Experience 
  • 7+ years Retail marketing management
  • 7+ years of experience in working with or at Best Buy  
Knowledge and Skills 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Solid understanding of retail marketing, partnerships, joint campaigns, new product launches, consumer electronics industry and working knowledge of the fundamentals of those products is required.
  • Ability to build, foster and nurture strong relationships with cross-functional and global teams. 
  • Strong strategic mentality and analytical skills; ability to balance analytical and creative thinking to support business goals. 
  • Ability to translate technology features into FABs (features, advantages, and benefits).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong initiative and ability to work with multiple projects at the same time.
  • Organized, proactive, detail oriented, meticulous multi-tasker with excellent written, verbal, and visual presentation skills in English.

 Preferred Qualifications: 

    Digital analytics and retail marketing experience in the consumer electronics industry is required.
    This position will handle ASUS gaming marketing for Best Buy. This person will ideally be located in MN, US.
    Working Conditions: 
    • Ability to travel domestically and internationally – approximately 15% travel.
    • Requiring sitting, operating a computer keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment for extended periods of time.
