Ataraxis AI is a VC-backed, early-stage startup working at the intersection of multi-modal AI, oncology, and precision medicine. We are a team of AI researchers, medical doctors and operators advised by a team of advisors who are pioneers in their respective fields, including a Turing Award winner, a leading scientist in cancer therapeutics, and oncologists at top cancer research institutes. Responsibilities

• Building multi-modal AI models leveraging survival analysis and causality.

• Devising hypothesis tests and experiments to evaluate AI models’ performances.

• Writing papers and grant applications.

• Co-mentoring our team of data scientists and research engineers.

Qualifications

Required:

• PhD degree in machine learning or statistics, or equivalent experience.

• Passion for research.

• Excellent understanding of machine learning.

• Excellent understanding of statistics, including survival analysis and causality.

• Excellent skills in Python and PyTorch.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• Outstanding attention to detail and determination to succeed.

• Intense work ethic, self-motivation and a track record of initiative.

Optional:

• Knowledge/experience in oncology, pathology or molecular diagnostics.

• Experience as a postdoctoral researcher.

• Experience with biostatistics.

Location: NYC (office in Midtown Manhattan).

The base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $150,000. Final compensation will be determined based on skills, qualifications, and experience, and includes an additional meaningful equity component.
