Join us as we work to create a thriving ecosystem that delivers accessible, high-quality, and sustainable healthcare for all.We are looking for a Senior Product Management Associate to join our Collector Product within our Patient Pay & Insurance zone.In this role, you will be responsible for learning the business problems that our zone builds software to address, the current state functionality of our products and the opportunities we have to improve our customers’ key performance metrics.You will execute outcome-focused roadmaps based on general product opportunities as well as athena’s corporate strategies.And you will have extremely strong written and verbal communication skills in order to effectively articulate business problems and lead cross-functional teams to build impactful solutions while being able to evangelize your product vision both internally and to our customers.Ultimately, the senior associate will support athena’s mission to improve healthcare for our customers as well as their patients.The Team :About Collector’s Patient Pay & Insurance zone : Our team of product managers are building new and exciting capabilities to improve how we help health practices collect the right patient insurance, understand eligibility benefits, improve cost transparency, drive effective billing workflows and offer flexible payment solutions.We believe that our success is attributed to a diverse group of individuals that prioritize teamwork and open-minded collaboration to design and build the best solutions we can for our customers.We value both qualitative and quantitative inputs throughout our product delivery cycle as we build iterative solutions that bring value to our customers early and often.This is a hybrid role with the expectation to be in the Boston, MA office one day / week.Job ResponsibilitiesUnderstands team responsibility within the athenahealth ecosystem & accordingly conceptualizes product / feature definitions to deliver valueFocuses on business problems before solutionsServes as Product Owner for scrum teams covering assigned product area(s)Defines roadmaps, OKRs, epics and user stories that clearly address business problemsMaintains an analytic / problem solving mentalityExercises value driven prioritizationAble to make tough decisions and be the voice of the product vision within the organizationCommunicate equally well with Sales / Marketing teams as with Engineering teams & leading the conversation to planned outcomesEmploys strong negotiation & logical-reasoning skills to ensure making the right tradeoffsConfident in sharing your knowledge & experience with Product Management leaders to drive portfolio and product strategySupport feature rollouts through alpha, beta and general availability by collaborating with customer-facing teams, analyzing feature impact, and preparing communicationsTypical QualificationsBachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required1-3 years or product management experience2-5 years working with stakeholders in a business environment, working with cross-functional groupsExperience with customer service, customer experience design, or customer success in an IT environment preferredAgile software development experience or certification a plusPrior experience in healthcare and RCM (Revenue Cycle Management) workflows is a big plusTechnical understanding (mobile, SaaS, data) ability to gut check technical feasibility and timelines and remove technical development barriers, preferredUnderstanding of product management best practices, including agile development, preferredExperience with analytics and data-driven decision-makingDemonstrated success at driving innovation in a dynamic environment using analytic and quantitative capabilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain your positioning to key stakeholders around the company in an effective wayAbout athenahealthHere’s ourvision : To create a thriving ecosystem that delivers accessible, high-quality, and sustainable healthcare for all.What’s unique about our locations?Our10offices across the United States and India plus numerous remote employees all work to modernize the healthcare experience, together.Our company culture might be our best feature.We don't take ourselves too seriously.
