Athletic Intern

Pay Grade/Pay Range: Non Classified - Grade NA

Department/Organization: 600152 - Nutrition

Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Job Summary: The Athletic Intern will work with the Athletic Department staff and student athletes in an intern position. The incumbent will assist in the everyday duties as specified by the internship.


Additional Department Summary: This position will assist in providing nutrition expertise for Olympic teams in concert with the Director of Performance Nutrition.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in any field, OR individuals currently enrolled in college completing their undergraduate studies.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in nutrition or related field. Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.

Preferred Qualifications: Basic knowledge of NCAA Division I policies and procedures. Experience working with a diverse student population and understanding of multicultural issues. Experience in collegiate athletic environment. Creative thinking and problem solving skills. RD Preferred.
