Field Security Engineer

For example, we are open by default ā built on open APIs, fully open architecture, publicly available documentation, no lock-ins, etc
- We fundamentally believe that the most important role of our sales and go-to-market team is to help customers solve problems and play the role of a trusted advisor. Sometimes this might mean turning customers away and even recommending other solutions. Even if we lose some revenue in the short term by doing so, we believe that doing right by the customer is always the right thing to do.
- We're looking for someone who's passionate about solving security problems, loves all things data, and is looking for a high-impact role in a fast-growth startup.
- Your mission is to be the trusted advisor to our customersā security teams in the worldās largest companies. Your goal will be to ensure a seamless customer experience as they go through the process of onboarding the Atlan platform into their environment.
- Partner with the Sales and CX teams to integrate our Field Security program into the customer journey.
- Analyze customer data to identify potential security risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Be the conduit to Atlan Product and Engineering on security insights from working with customer teams ā make recommendations for security improvements and develop methods for ensuring compliance with customer security requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company security policies and standards.
- Security background: prior experience as a security practitioner, and experience in SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR and ISO27001 compliances.
- Technical skillset: Deep knowledge of cloud architectures and networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience working with Kubernetes applications from a security perspective
- Entrepreneurial mindset: Desire to help us build a world class field security organization
- Customer facing: Exceptional verbal, presentation, and written communication skills to collaborate with the security teams of our customers
