Atlanta Conservation Crew Member

Position Summary:
The Student Conservation Association (SCA) is seeking crew members for its Atlanta Conservation Crew. Crew members will work on service projects, including invasive species removal, habitat restoration, litter abatement and trail work at various locations throughout local National Park Service sites in the Atlanta area. Members will learn how to use hand and power tools, maintain equipment, identify plants and trees and build trails.
The SCA is the largest provider of hands-on environmental conservation programs for youth and adults. Crew members protect and restore national parks, marine sanctuaries, cultural landmarks and community green spaces at various locations across the country. After working with the SCA, program participants emerge with increased environmental awareness, social responsibility and leadership skills.
In Atlanta, crew members build trails and restore habitat while exploring green career opportunities and learning about the local environment through environmental education field trips, outdoor recreation and service projects.
