ABOUT THIS ROLE:

Atmosphere is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our growing Data & Analytics team. You will be responsible for managing an end-to-end pipeline for billions of data points that are generated every single day across our global network of devices, enabling near real-time analytics for internal systems, models and reports.  You will focus on architecting robust, scalable data infrastructure and processes that can meet the current and future state needs of a rapidly growing platform.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines to process, transform, and load large volumes of data from first- and third-party sources into our data warehouse.
• Implement data modeling and schema design best-practices to ensure data quality and performance.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams - including data & analytics engineers, business analysts, product managers and developers - to understand deliverable requirements and implement data solutions to meet those needs.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements like automating manual tasks and optimizing for data integrity & delivery speed.
• Collaborate with business analysts on end-to-end data mart design and productization
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to automate deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of data infrastructure and pipelines.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in a Data Engineer role
• Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
• Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Expertise in data stack architecture, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and workflow orchestration tools (e.g. Apache Airflow, Apache Dataflow).
• Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
