Atropos Health is the developer of GENEVA™ OS , the operating system for rapid healthcare evidence across a robust network of real-world data. Healthcare and life science organizations work with Atropos Health to close evidence gaps from bench to bedside, improving individual patient outcomes with data-driven care, expediting research that advances the field of medicine, and more. Work with external physicians and researchers to generate impactful RWE using appropriate data and methods for observational studies, health technology assessments and clinical insights. This will be enabled by our unique and proprietary workbench designed to generate rapid and reliable RWE as well as open source tools such as Python and R. This role may be client-facing where you will participate in stakeholder meetings and cross-functional collaborations.
Understand and formulate our clients’ questions into well-designed clinical studies using appropriate study designs. Anticipate and communicate potential study limitations and propose practical solutions while balancing scientific rigor.
Deliver timely and high quality RWE to our clients using both our Atropos platform and open source tools such as Python, R and other generative AI frameworks
Propose and develop advance study designs and statistical methods and add new functionalities to our platform to best address our clients’ needs
Advocate and drive the adoption of appropriate data assets and methods (e.g. OHDSI)
Actively seek client feedback to understand their needs and work with our engineering, scientific and clinical team to improve our product and processes
Excellent writing skills – you may be asked to publish peer-review papers and contribute to our technical blogs
PhD in Epidemiology, Statistics, Social Sciences (Economics, Psychology, Political Science), Public Health
Experience manipulating and modeling large clinical datasets
Knowledge of relevant medical coding terminology (e.g., ICD, CPT, LOINC, RxNORM)
Relevant experience in RWE or Public Health. Sufficiently knowledgeable about healthcare to interpret findings alongside clinical input.
Fluency with Python, R, Linux, SQL
Client-facing experience and excellent communication skills
Excellent problem-solving, project management and team collaboration skills
Flexible thinking: you know how to re-frame the problem to find practical solutions
Specialization in Cancer epidemiology, Pharmacoepidemiology or HTA will be a plus
Knowledge of git, conda, cloud infrastructure (AWS and Docker), generative AI will be a plus
The Epidemiologist reports directly to the President, Neil Sanghavi.
