Auria is looking to hire Software Test Engineers (multiple positions, multiple levels) to support the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. Work location is in either Colorado Springs, CO or Huntsville, AL.
As member of the Regional Applications Agile Release Train (ART) of the Missile Defense National Team for Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) (aka C2BMC NT), this position will participate in software design and peer reviews, develop test specifications and infrastructure, execute manual and automated test and perform analysis of C2BMC implementation in an integrated environment or to test specific capabilities for interfaces or infrastructure in support of operations (e.g., Internal Messaging, control and monitoring, message and display recording and playback, failover processing).
Essential Functions:
- Possess experience testing and evaluating a software-intensive system in various test environments/venues, utilizing Agile development.
- Requires a robust and self-starting individual capable of diving into problems with assistance from other test engineers and software developers.
- Experience should include:
- Use of DoD test methodologies
- Functional capability-related test/analysis planning and execution
- Planning and execution of test data collection
- Test data analysis and reporting.
- The analysis experience should involve:
- Characterizing system
- Software or component performance using quantitative methods
- Reporting the characterization to subsequent users
- Contributing to performance assessment by program system engineers.
- Experience may come from independent efforts and/or from participation within test teams.
- Coordinate lab resources, test results, and verification status with the C2BMC program and customers.
- Be a leader on the team and help Junior Engineers with problems that might arise.
- Occasional Travel between Colorado Springs facilities/sites and Huntsville, AL, is expected.
Basic Qualifications:

- An active SECRET clearance is required to start.
- DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) is required to start or must be obtained within 60 days of the start date.
- Knowledge and experience with Tests.
- Experience with an Agile development process.
- Automated testing for requirement verification and performance assessment requirement and verification analysis.
- Conducting post-processing and analysis of collected data.
- Development of action plans based upon analysis of data.
- Automated Test Frameworks like:
- Cucumber
- RIA Test
- Telerik Test Studio
- Experience in:
- GIT
- Jenkins
- Technical Team Leadership
- Jira
- Confluence
- Documenting software deficiency reports.
- Present analysis results and action plans orally and/or in written format (e.g., slides, annotated slides, test report document).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a DevSecOps environment is extremely desirable.
- Must possess strong verbal/written communication skills, enabling them to work effectively in a small technical team environment and to accurately represent test perspectives to C2BMC systems engineers and architects, software designers, other testers, and test support personnel, the Government customers, and personnel in other MDA programs.
Salary Range:The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level ($81,000 - $140,000).
- Level 2: 2 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or a related field; or 6 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Level 3: 5 years' experience with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or a related field; 3 years' experience with a master’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or a related field
- Level 4: 9 years' experience with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or a related field; 7 years' experience with a master’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or a related field
