AutoBrazer

The Harris Products Group, a Lincoln Electric Company, is a world leader in the design, development and manufacture of brazing, soldering, heating, cutting and welding equipment, as well as brazing and soldering alloys and welding consumables.

Position Summary: AutoBraze aluminum or copper components for heating and air conditioning industry.


Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:


Read work order or follow oral instructions.

Able to assemble fabricated metals parts as specified by work order.

Turn valves to start flow of gases, light torch, and make required, if any, adjustments.

Load part onto the AutoBrazer ensuring that the parts are assembled correctly.

Unload part from the AutoBrazer while inspecting each part for defects.

If necessary, add flux and send the part through again on the AutoBrazer.

In some areas, must be able to guide torch and rod along joint to heat to brazing temperature and melt braze alloy to bond component pieces together or to evaporate excess oil in the part.

Print labels according to the work order.

Must be able to locate Emergency Stop on AutoBrazer.

Able to complete repetitive task.

Responsible for clocking in and out of work order on the computer.

Keep area clean.

Required to work 9 or 10 hour shift

Work overtime as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and process sheets.

Perform basic math.

Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Follow established methods and procedures.

Ability to enter data into computer.


Physical Environment/Working Conditions:

Manufacturing environment (varying temperatures, concrete floors).

Exposed to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable.

May work at different workstations as productions needs require.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Safety requirements for this position are safety glasses and, in some areas, hearing protection.


Physical Demands:

Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.

Regularly required to walk, sit, stand, bend and reach. Will involve long periods of standing throughout the shift. Occasionally required to stoop or squat.

Regular lifting up to 25 lbs.

Required to use “buddy lift” policy for any heavier products.
