GM Refuse

GM of Refuse Vocational Business
 
 The GM will lead the refuse vocational business, focusing on strategic growth and market leadership. This role involves direct sales, marketing strategy execution, business development, customer acquisition, product management, engineering, and product development.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Vocational team of Sales, Marketing, Business development ,product management, Engineering,
  • Execute strategic plans and lead the team to achieve strategic and tactical business goals
  • Lead direct sales and marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition And Growth.
  • Oversee product management, engineering, and development by being very close to customer applications and deep understanding of requirements of drivers, Mechanics, fleet operations and customer Management Goals
  • Cultivate industry relationships to enhance market position.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Strong financial acumen to lower costs while improving performance and increasing sales 
  • Very strong computer skills, to include: Word, Excel, PowerPoint 
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas and thoughts to people at all levels of the organization, establishing credibility with management and employees throughout the supported population; including but not limited to the executive management level 
  • Ability to anticipate, set, execute, and manage priorities, resources, goals and projects 
  • Ability to develop strong contingency plans. 
 
Qualifications:
  • Proven expertise and experience in the refuse industry.
  • Minimum 10 years progressive sales management experience; minimum 5 years in a senior level role with direct P&L responsibility 
  • Experience managing a business or unit within this sector.
  • Strong leadership and people development skills.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic execution and achieving business results.
  • Financial acumen and knowledge of refuse applications; truck knowledge is a plus
  • Bachelor Degree, advanced degree preferred 
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/sales metrics 
  • Excellent organization and project management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results. 
  • Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to relationship-building, both internally and externally 
  • Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving 
  • Comfortable with constant change 
  • Strategic mindset and planning capabilities; conducted competitive analyses and developed marketing plans, etc. 
 
Must be Located at the Birmingham Al Facility
Reporting to the President.
