About the role

As a Senior Insight Consultant at Avalere Health, you are responsible for the health of the client relationship, for understanding your client’s business requirements, developing bespoke strategic solutions that meet or surpass them, and in doing so develop and grow strong client relationships. These solutions will be achieved by turning research and insight into vision, strategy, and plans.

You should be able to build a team and lead the proposal, design, and delivery of large-scale profitable projects. Senior clients will see you as a trusted advisor and strategic counsel.

You should be perceived internally and externally as a highly accomplished presenter, able to effectively engage audiences both large (75+) and small, and an excellent facilitator who is able to ensure the optimal output is reached from any given situation.

• Work alongside the Advisory team to design, develop and deliver research materials and customer insight work, translating outputs into strategic plans.
• Seek to use innovative and creative techniques in research
• Review research materials and deliverables; challenging thinking within the team to encourage creative approaches to client problems
• Coach team on storylining and strategic implications
• Act as a trusted advisor on matters of insight to clients and internal colleagues
• Strive and work to develop a breadth and depth of client relationships
• Lead planning and business development, contributing to proposal development and presentation
• Seek to drive innovative pitches and debrief approaches
• Accountable for the profitability, effectiveness, and efficiency of your projects
• Project management: manage clients, internal stakeholders, and third-party vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget and are of high quality
• Identify opportunities that extend Avalere Health’s capabilities; seek to make new connections and gain access, leveraging delivered work to build advocacy
• Contribute to building programs of insight, whether standalone or integrated into collaborative programs within Consulting, and with other teams across the business
• Mentor and manage less experienced consultants, helping them to achieve their own skills, capabilities, and career progression
• Build morale, encourage creativity and development

• At least 8 years Insight/Market Research experience within the Life Science/healthcare industry
• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and suggest appropriate methodologies or techniques for any given brand/client situation
• Experience within healthcare that has focused on both commercial and clinical
• A desire to work collaboratively with colleagues in the broader Consulting and Avalere Health teams – strategists, UX researchers, med comms experts, and more – across a broad range of client business challenges
• A desire to drive collaboration and build relationships with colleagues within Consulting and other functional teams across Avalere Health
• Demonstrated expertise in being able to maximise profitability and recoverability on the business you are responsible for
• Can spot new opportunities and organically grow business
