The Opportunity
The Director, Digital Marketing is accountable for leading the Healthcare Professional (HCP) and Consumer digital marketing team to support all Avidity’s brands in delivering seamless, personalized omnichannel experiences. You will leverage your deep understanding of digital marketing strategy, media, technology, and analytics to drive engagement and business results. This position will work cross-functionally and collaboratively with brand leadership, other internal stakeholders, and external agency partners. This position reports to the Executive Director of Digital and Patient Marketing.
What You Will Contribute
Lead the strategic direction for the HCP and Consumer digital marketing function growing and nurturing digital marketing excellence across the team.
Develop and execute omnichannel marketing strategies, seamlessly integrating digital channels for all Avidity brands while ensuring alignment to brand goals.
Develop and execute impactful media plans driving awareness, interest and demand for all Avidity brands in alignment with brand goals.
Partner with brand teams to ensure digital strategies and tactics align with brand goals and objectives, ensuring the development and execution of highly effective, targeted integrated marketing plans that drive exceptional HCP and Consumer experiences.
Establish and monitor digital marketing key performance indicators and continuously test and optimize marketing strategies based on data insights to improve performance and drive results.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including IT and AI leveraging the latest technologies, data and analytics to precisely target and impactfully engage audiences.
Oversee relationships with creative agencies and external vendors to ensure high-quality strategic and creative output against strict project timelines and strong adherence to budgets.
Develop a deep understanding of HCP and Consumer journeys leveraging data and market research to inform strategic planning.
Stay up to date on digital marketing trends, technologies and best practices to inform strategy and drive innovation.
Participate in annual brand planning process infusing brands with strategic digital insights and developing HCP and Consumer digital plans aligned to brand goals.
Provide strong leadership for the digital marketing team, managing direct reports, overseeing their professional development, and building a team motivated to exceed expectations.
Manage budget for function, evaluate cost effectiveness of spend and ensure appropriate allocation of resources.
What We Seek
10+ years of experience in marketing within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
6+ years digital marketing experience with strong understanding of digital marketing principles, best practices, and emerging trends across multiple channels, including websites, email marketing, mobile apps, and media.
6+ years of people leader experience. Ability to effectively manage and influence a team while balancing own work.
Bachelor’s Degree required, advanced Degree in business or marketing preferred.
Proven track record of developing, shaping, and optimizing HCP and/or Consumer digital experiences.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making and strategic planning.
Player/coach who thrives on the thrill of scaling new, innovative solutions, and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.
Strong relationship-building and business-partnering experience across multiple departments, external partners, customers and patients; ability to successfully collaborate cross-functionally to achieve goals.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders.
Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in pharmaceutical marketing.
What We Will Provide to You
The base salary range for this role is $212,100 - $234,500. The final compensation will be commensurate with such factors as relevant experience, skillset, internal equity and market factors.
