AVP Provider Partnerships

The AVP, Provider Partnerships, will be responsible for sustaining an exceptional network partnership model for WelbeHealth PACE programs. This dynamic leader will champion the strategic design, development and execution of a national best-fit partner alignment and performance approach in accordance with core principles of the PACE philosophy, and that is scalable and replicable across diverse regions, market dynamics, and service types. This includes managing a multi-region and multi-state network that supports enterprise goals for patient experience, quality of care, and compliance. Candidates for this position will be highly experienced in executive level partner negotiations and management, building and managing high performing teams, delivering an exceptional service centric network function for all stakeholders and be tireless in ensuring exceptional care and experience is delivered to frail elderly individuals and their families.

AVP, Provider Partnerships will lead a highly interdisciplinary function - collaborating with WelbeHealth PACE program leaders and Central VPs, Executive and Medical Practice leadership amongst others. Functional areas of responsibility will include national network development, provider relations, and network compliance & performance. The AVP, Provider Partnerships is a member of the WelbeHealth leadership team and facilitates collaborative relationships across WelbeHealth and with external stakeholders to promote the WelbeHealth values, team culture and mission.

Essential Job Duties

  • Creating and executing a national network development strategy - managing highly complex executive negotiations with large providers and internally, engaging in strategic business development efforts, developing required infrastructure to support multi-state networks and risk sharing arrangements – to ensure network adequacy across all WelbeHealth programs.
  • Building a best-in-PACE provider relations playbook scalable to markets on national level that enables programs to reach partner alignment.
  • Exceeding key performance indicators through a model that delivers appropriate balance of local-first approach with standardization, compliance, and consistency.
  • Accountable for network performance (e.g., responsiveness, time to appointment, wait times, notes sent in a timely manner, satisfaction).
  • Championing provider service-centricity, with an ownership mindset toward all partner touchpoints being a seamless and thrilling experience that drives value.
  • Developing strategic initiatives to drive participant census growth and sustained enrollment through unique care delivery models.
  • Cultivating and supporting a high-performance team known for consistency of meeting goals, partnering cross-functionally, and individual/team satisfaction.
  • Maintaining compliance with all PACE regulations and internal policies and procedures.
  • Manage direct reports including hiring, training, supervising, and mentoring.
  • Must be willing and able to work a varied schedule that may include evening nights, weekends, and overtime.
  • Complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Protect privacy and maintain confidentiality of all company procedures and information about team members, participants, and families.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field, four years of professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years in managed care network, provider relations, or partnerships as well as leading and managing teams.
  • Experience yielding significant transformation and behavior change from partners through previous leadership initiatives.
  • Experience building and fostering deeply trusting relationships with partners and team.
  • Demonstrated prowess understanding complex market dynamics and synthesizing into impactful strategy benefitting the patient.
  • Experience putting sophisticated knowledge of pricing methodologies and incentives into practice during contract discussions.
  • Energized by navigating ambiguity and change.
  • Experience developing and delivering high customer service/satisfaction experience.
  • Experience in highly regulated environments involving CMS oversight and audits.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, able to execute tasks in a quickly changing environment and make sound decisions in urgent situations.
  • Experience in monitoring budgets successfully with a strength to uncover divergent solutions.
  • Ability to partner with multiple community-based organizations to influence growth.
  • Strong desire to innovate the delivery of healthcare while sustaining scalable model during growth.
  • Technology-centric with an ability to bring to life innovative ideas that support replicative results.
  • Knowledge of policy environment and social determinants to prepare for future variables.
  • Two years’ supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Ability to process accurate information in a timely manner.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills in settings with seniors, their families and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Experience leading in a data-driven organization, leveraging reports and data to prioritize and manage people and projects.

Salary/Wage base range for this role starts at $180,000.00- $220,000 Bonus + Equity. WelbeHealth offers competitive total rewards package that includes, 401k match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of other benefits. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other qualifications.
