We are hiring a Director of Wholesale to join our Corporate Development team. This position reports to the VP of Corporate Development and will lead our wholesale business, an emerging channel for our brand, poised to unlock massive growth by expanding our reach to places where our customers love to shop. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to build a playbook, establish best practices, and be the face of the brand for critical partners—spearheading one of our brand's major growth initiatives.
You’ll evaluate and prioritize potential partnerships, identifying opportunities that align with strategic business and brand goals
You’ll partner with Finance and Legal to negotiate, structure, and finalize high-value contracts
You’ll oversee the day-to-day management of key accounts, acting as the primary point of contact for key external stakeholders and ensuring clear communication and mutual success
You’ll monitor performance metrics and provide actionable insights to optimize partner engagement and profitability
You’ll collaborate with Merchandising and Planning teams to build a segmented assortment and replenishment strategy tailored to wholesale needs and coordinated with our direct-to-consumer business
You’ll collaborate with Marketing, Customer Service, and Visual Merchandising teams to ensure the brand is consistently represented across all customer touch points
You’ll partner with Supply Chain and Technology teams to design and implement streamlined, scalable processes to fulfill wholesale orders efficiently
You have extensive, demonstrated experience leading wholesale operations at an omni-channel retailer
You excel at and are highly motivated by prospecting new business, closing deals, and building meaningful relationships with a variety of different commercial and retail accounts
You’re highly organized and have strong project management skills, ensuring no detail is forgotten/lacks attention
You have previous experience using data, business analytics, and inventory management software, and are comfortable building dashboards/reports
You’re a relationship builder, with both internal and external partners; you’re approachable, personable, and can break down complex ideas in an influential and compelling manner
You’re comfortable being a team of one, building the playbook, and intrinsically self-motivated
You’re creative and innovative; you love to build great new things that are fresh and unique while staying on brand
You’re agile, and motivated by a fast-paced and ever-changing environment

Our total rewards are inclusive of both compensation and benefits. What we offer within a salary range is dependent on a number of factors, including scope and qualifications for the role, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other Away employees. Salary and benefit offerings are reviewed during phone screenings to ensure alignment.
Compensation Range: $165,000.00 - $175,000.00 annually
This role is eligible to participate in Away’s Annual Company Performance Incentive Bonus Plan, the terms of which are determined at the discretion of the company
Equity Grant: commensurate with level determined at the discretion of the company

This is a hybrid role that comes into our Soho, NYC office twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The working hours are 9am-6pm ET.
This role is expected to occasionally travel to meet with retail partners and to visit new locations where our products will be sold.
