In support of our mission, we are seeking a Retail Marketing & Events Manager to join our Brand Marketing team. Want to help us transform the travel experience? The ideal candidate will have had experience in Retail Marketing, Event Production and Integrated Marketing. Reporting to the VP Brand, this pivotal role will help translate our brand into IRL spaces, including our 16 retail retail stores as well as brand-owned events.

The Retail Marketing & Events Manager role reports to the Vice President, Brand Marketing and will require a weekly in-office presence on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Collaborate with the brand and retail teams to align our vision for programming and activations that align to our wider brand initiatives
Own end-to-end execution of localized partnerships and events in retail markets as well as support integrated marketing events
Serve as the brand lead, on the ground, for events and activations
Partner with retail store and corporate leadership to understand their needs, opportunities and hurdles to best support driving traffic and brand awareness
Identify, resource and onboard freelance and external partners where necessary to bring programs to life
Own the marketing briefs for all integrated activations, collaborating with cross functional teams where necessary including but not limited to brand, retail, VM, social creative, growth, ops and legal
Define and build a sustainable strategy for retail event programming, creating turnkey playbook for retail markets to activate
Maintain a deep understanding of the retail landscape, attending and researching other brand activations / events ‘in the wild’
Work with production (either internal or external) as needed to across all programs, finding efficiencies within allocated budgets
Champion brand strategy, brand aesthetic and brand standards across all touchpoints and executions; taking initiative and proactively pitching programs + concepts to increase traffic + engagement
Set program goals, track, analyze and report performance, identifying and implementing recommendations for improvement and growth
Minimum 5 years of professional work experience in event management/production, with a focus on retail eventing experience
A complete self starter, you enjoy paving the way and and defining a playbook vs. being handed one to execute against
Cross-functional leader who can build trustworthy relationships both internally and externally
A true people person who enjoys engaging, interacting and meeting new people

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of our total rewards program that also includes benefits, bonus, equity and various social and professional investment opportunities at Away. Pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including scope and qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other Away employees. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at Away to fall healthily within the range based on these factors.
Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $105,000.00 annually
This role is eligible to participate in Away’s Annual Company Performance Bonus Plan, the terms of which are determined on an annual basis at the discretion of the company
Equity Grant: commensurate with level determined at the discretion of the company
