We’re looking for an AWS Cloud Expert with GovCloud, SES, Aurora Postgres, S3, and compliance skills to join Thoropass and our fast-growing team.

As a member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping our cloud infrastructure and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Your expertise in AWS GovCloud, SES, Aurora Postgres, S3, and compliance will drive the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure and scalable cloud solutions. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to assess requirements, recommend best practices, and implement robust cloud architectures.

Essential day-to-day activities include:

• Design and implement multi-datacenter operations using AWS services, including GovCloud, SES, Aurora Postgres, and S3, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability.
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI, etc) and implementing necessary controls and security measures.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting cloud environments to identify and resolve issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Conducting regular audits and assessments to ensure ongoing compliance and security.
• Developing and maintaining documentation, including architectural diagrams, standard operating procedures, and compliance reports.
• Staying up to date with the latest AWS services, best practices, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.

What we are looking for:

We’re looking for a talented and experienced AWS Cloud Expert with a strong background in GovCloud, SES, Aurora Postgres, S3, and compliance. You should have a deep understanding of cloud architecture, security, and compliance frameworks. This role requires a proactive, self-motivated individual who can work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has:

• Extensive experience designing and implementing cloud solutions on AWS, with a focus on GovCloud, SES, Aurora Postgres, and S3.
• Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI.
• Experience implementing security controls, encryption, and access management within an AWS environment.
• Proficiency in monitoring and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure for performance and availability.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with compliance reporting and documentation requirements.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Extensive experience in building and managing multi-datacenter operations using AWS services.

Compensation & Perks:

• The salary range for this position is $190,000 - $210,000
