Axle Informatics is seeking a highly ambitious, adaptable, structured, and detail-oriented Scientist to join their vibrant team at the National Institutes of Health, Vaccine Research Center, Structural Biology Section.

Skills

Ph.D with specific training in cryo-EM
Experience in cryo-EM data collection and processing
Familiarity with standard EM sample preparation protocols
Experience with cryo-EM software packages
Ability to establish and manage large computational resources

Responsibilities

Coordinate cryo-EM data collection on vaccine targets
Optimize sample vitrification conditions and collect high magnification data
Expand the breadth and capability of HIV-1 projects
Advance the quality of data acquisition
Analyze cryo-EM data collections
Provide scientific expertise to project teams
Train students, postdocs, and staff scientists
Review and contrast various algorithms
Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals
Coordinate deposit of data and models in public databases
