Your Impact

As the Senior Strategic Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex and high-impact strategic programs across the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and primary stakeholders in finance and legal, to ensure the alignment of initiatives with the company's strategic goals. Your strategic vision, program management expertise, and exceptional leadership skills will drive the successful implementation of key projects that elevate our competitive position in the market. Your ability to both technical delivery, as well as work with business stakeholders to understand requirements, and timelines to ensure appropriate delivery will be critical to your success.

What You’ll Do 

Location: Remotely from US
Reports to: Head of Program and Portfolio Management
Direct Reports: None

  • The candidate will be responsible for the triple constraints (resources, schedule, budget) of the programs they are assigned to execute as the leading PM. They will also expected to serve as a consultant to functional teams that may need guidance on how to initiate and execute smaller projects.
  • Working primarily with our Corporate Development and Federal Sales teams.
  • Program management of initiatives involving the planning and execution from ideation through integration of legal entities, corporate restructuring, and the federal procurement process.
  • Change management for any/all programs being managed with the afore mentioned teams.
  • After action reviews and blueprinting for continuous improvement to be implements on similar future projects.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in program management, with a deep understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex, cross-functional strategic programs within large organizations.
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience with projects requiring corporate governance changes and changes in organizational structure (M&A, Divestitures, Subsidiary origination,Integration, etc) preferably when the entity is subject to federal compliance programs.
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience with the federal procurement process: Specifically understanding contacts that include cost accounting standards / non-commercial contracts subject to FAR 15 regulations / time & material contracts.
  • Strong understanding of legal, financial, and compliance aspects related to corporate restructuring.
  • Experience working with legal counsel, financial advisors, consultants, and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to coordinate and deliver new documented company policies including but not limited to employee handbooks, employee contracts, intercompany agreements.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve outstanding results.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities, able to synthesize complex information into actionable plans.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with senior executives.
  • Proficiency in risk management, change management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Driving decisions and solutions for complex problems that require cross functional input and approval.

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 106,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 205,000 in the highest geographic market. The on target earnings range for this role is between USD 137,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 263,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
