B GARAGE was founded in 2017 by two PhD graduates from Stanford University. After having spent over five years researching robotics, computer vision, aeronautics, and drone autonomy, the co-founders set their minds on building a future where aerial robots would become an integral part of our daily lives without anyone necessarily piloting them. Together, our common goal is to redefine the user experience of drones and to expand the horizon for the use of drones.
The B GARAGE QA team is looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, and collaborative robotics field engineer to support the launch of intelligent aerial robots and autonomously sustainable ecosystems.
Roles and Responsibilities
Operate aerial robots and robotic systems
Test the robotic systems based on product specifications
Troubleshoot software/hardware robotic system integration and deployment
Travel to customer sites and provide field support
Aid the developer team to deliver prototype and product in a timely manner
Collaborate with other teams within the company
Minimum Qualifications
B.S. degree in robotics, computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or other engineering disciplines
2+ years of experience in robotic system operation or field tests in aviation, robotics, or automotive
Experience with robotic system integrations and analyzing the system logs
Experience using Ubuntu/Windows System
Experience with programming/scripting languages (python, C, ROS, bash)
Being detail-oriented and managing multiple tasks
Proficient in safety pilot for aerial robots
Self-motivated person who thrives in a fast-paced environment
Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Optional Qualifications
Experience with building and repairing aerial robots and robotic systems
Experience with installing and running applications on Windows and Linux
Experience at a fast-growing startup
