Backend PHP Developer

Enthusiast Gaming is looking for an Intermediate Level Backend Developer to join our team! Reporting to the Product Director, the Backend Developer will be responsible for developing APIs for various micro services for use with internal and external applications. Experience with PHP and the Laravel framework is a must, any additional experience with NodeJs is encouraged but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement REST APIs within micro services
• Process and store large amounts of data from external services
• Collaborate with front-end developers to create a functional and cohesive API to enhance user experience
• Write unit and feature tests with PHPUnit and Pest

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or related field preferred
• 3+ years experience with REST APIs and additional backend development
• Proficiency with PHP, Laravel, MySQL and Redis
• Experience with Git

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
• Strong time-management skills
• Proven communication skills, with the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
