Backend Software Engineer

Self Financial, a high-growth FinTech company, is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to innovate and deliver user-focused solutions at scale. Join our diverse team committed to increasing economic inclusion.

Skills

3+ years of software engineering experience
Proficiency with Python and related languages
Experience with REST APIs and integration
Proficiency with SQL and relational databases like PostgreSQL
Familiarity with Git, JIRA, Confluence, and similar tools
Experience working in Agile environment
Knowledge in container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with React
Experience with AWS and cloud architectures/services

Responsibilities

Deliver new features and improvements on core backend systems
Integrate with front-end elements via Rest APIs and 3rd-party services
Develop services and infrastructure for customer-facing solutions at scale
Collaborate with team members in brainstorming, feedback gathering, and iterating on product features
