Job Description What's a career like at BAE Systems? Remarkable. We’re seeking a Director, Supply Chain Risk and Data Management to join the team. The Director, Supply Chain Risk will lead the Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) activity for BAE Systems, Inc. (Inc.). The Director will establish, revise, and execute related policies and procedures, in harmonization with global counterparts... International BAE System entities, and all BAE Systems Inc. sector business units. The role will create and evolve a value driven process, that will include a Framework, ConOps and Playbook, to adjust to various risks within the supply chain. The core competency of the role will build, expand, maintain, and evolve a digital solution that provides regressive/predictive risk intelligence to satisfy various regulatory, client and business requirements.
The role will cross over to Supply Chain Data Management as a leader who will work with BAE Systems, Inc., Enterprise Shared Services (ESS), to facilitate the Partner2Win program, supplier score cards, Supplier Principles assessments, and Functional Metrics.
Additional responsibilities include:
• Provide a digital solution for SCRM (Tool / Data / Process) that advances the enterprise to the next level of risk manage;
• Work in close collaboration with all sectors to design a risk management method that permits predictive modeling to the second and third tier of the enterprise supply chain;
• Work closely with the process and tools team to align all SCRM concepts with the supply chain digital strategy;
• Align cross-functionally to capture risk elements that will feed awareness and foresight on an evolving risk profile in the extended supply chain;
• At the Inc. level, the role will coordinate Section 889 compliance activity, Cloud Service Provider List, P-Card activity, and Functional Metrics;
• Lead project activity our procurement maturity assessment model, and acquisition synergies tracking
• Collate, communicate, and apply risk and market Intelligence; Drive SCRM harmonization between Inc. and our global counterparts;
• Promote SCRM Framework, ConOps and Playbook; Provide training, material and communications for SCRM program;
• Facilitate and consolidate supply chain functional metrics across the enterprise through validated methodologies;
• Working close collaboration with IT leadership to establish automated metrics through harmonized data models across the enterprise;
• Provide P-Card data and support to the enterprise;
• Support environmental, sustainability, and governance reporting activity across the enterprise
• Support Partner2Win, ESS, Supplier Principles; Assessments across the enterprise;
• Coordinate Section 889 compliance harmonization; Cloud Service Provider List / communications;
• Work with Compliance on a Supply Chain Governance framework, that will support the Inc. sector business units, to ensure guidelines on how data may be used;
• Support indirect and direct procurement activity and have a strong working knowledge of concepts and procedures that support an approach to sourcing, compliance, and data in these areas.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience;
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills;
• Ability to lead initiatives and manage projects across business units and flex ideas/concepts with experience explaining complicated details in a clear and concise manner;
• A skilled communicator with experience to navigate through the process and communicate to the right parties within a timely manner;
• Ability to lead a small team and/or large projects through influence and/or direct responsibility
• An analytical and creative approach, to incorporate business rules, tags and filter, to establish a multipurpose output acceptable to each business unit;
• Ability to asses and negotiate with internal teams to ensure our SCRM Framework, concept of operations and Playbook, as well as our approach to evaluating risk is harmonized on an Inc. and Global level;
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to define and articulate future vision and direction;
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills;
• Strong working knowledge of various ERPs (Oracle, SAP, Deltek, etc.) and item data management principles;
• Highly developed relationship building, networking capability with the ability to engage, communication, negotiate and influence at different levels both internally and externally;
• Expertise with power BI, Tableau , Excel and various database;
• Strong digital acumen and working knowledge of data harmonization/aggregation;
• Fluent in supply chain risk management methods and concepts;
• Excellent graphing, charting, and dashboard creation skills;
• Digital visionary with an aptitude for technological advancement in operational efficiency;
• Advanced working level in MS Excel and various database models.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $128100 - $217800
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
