Systems Administrator -(Admin9300)

We are seeking a talented and motivated Systems Administrator to join our team and support mission-critical operations.

Position Overview:

As a Systems Administrator at BAE Systems, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our systems operate at peak performance, while also providing critical support to end-users. Your expertise will help safeguard our systems from threats and ensure seamless operations across our network.

Key Responsibilities:

- System Management: Oversee the daily operations of Windows and Linux-based systems, including monitoring, configuring, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and performance.

- Security & Compliance: Implement and maintain security best practices, including patch management, access controls, and regular system updates to comply with industry standards.

- Network & Infrastructure Support: Monitor network performance, configure firewalls, and manage data backups and recovery processes.

- User Support: Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues as they arise.

- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate system documentation and produce regular reports on system performance, incidents, and security vulnerabilities.

- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams to optimize system operations, enhance security protocols, and support large-scale projects.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role in an enterprise environment.

- Expertise in Windows and Linux server environments.

- Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, etc.).

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) is a plus.

- Security+, CCNA, or other relevant certifications are highly desirable.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
