Our North America Employment & Compensation Practice Group provides clients with “one stop” domestic and international employment law counseling and litigation representation. We assist multinational companies with their international and domestic labor and employment issues, from expansion into or exit from new jurisdictions to deploying and managing a global workforce, to defending them in litigation in both state and federal court. We “translate” the international landscape for in-house counsel and managers with global responsibilities. We lead cross-border and multi-disciplinary employment projects providing commercially practical support for our clients’ global operations.
Baker McKenzie seeks an associate attorney for its Global Employment & Labor Law practice. The position is focused on providing advice and counsel to multinational clients on US and cross-border employment issues, including transactions. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of employment counseling and/or general employment litigation experience, and a background in international employment law. Strong academic credentials from a top law school and excellent communication, analytical and writing skills are highly preferred as well as top tier law firm experience in an employment practice. The candidate must have the ability to function smoothly in a global team environment with culturally diverse team members.

For candidates living and working in our New York or California office only, the annual salary range is between $225,000 and $260,000.
