Based in United States - New York, NY and with Hybrid ways of working.Job description and responsibilities:Ballard Spahr has a new opportunity available for a Data Analyst within our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team. This position focuses on advancing the firm’s overarching diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts by responding to client requests for proposals (RFPs), client, national, and third-party diversity surveys, and internal data requests. The Analyst will provide analysis of qualitative and quantitative diversity, equity, and inclusion data by gathering, validating, synthesizing, analyzing, and reporting data from various firm sources and systems. By developing data-driven reports and responding to requests and surveys, this position is central to highlighting, measuring, and ensuring that the firm and its clients achieve strategic diversity, equity, and inclusion goals. This position is hybrid, with two days onsite for those who live close to a Ballard office in the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, District of Columbia, Georgia, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Nevada, Pennsylvania, South Dakota or Utah.Our Analyst Will• Perform data analytics, including quantitative, statistical, and comparative analysis, to determine patterns and recognize• Prepare reports for requests and surveys, including but not limited to requests for proposals. Ensure the integrity of the data collected and resolve issues when necessary.• Maintain the Department’s dashboards, analyze and interpret data to measure the effectiveness of the Firm’s diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies.• Work with a diverse array of requestors of data to support the department’s diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.While specific duties may vary, the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Data Analyst will gather, analyze, and provide qualitative and quantitative diversity and inclusion data with oversight by the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Specialist. A high level of collaboration within the Diversity Equity and Inclusion team firm administration and other business professionals will be required in this position. Further, the Data Analyst should have the ability to engage with people at all levels of the firm.Requirements and qualifications:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and or university or a minimum four (4) years of experience engaging in data analytics strategies and processes, and developing summary reports. Experience with reporting and query tools, databases, and data management. Proven track record with strong written and oral communication, analytical skills, data visualization, and project management skills; high level of attention to detail and accuracy; ability to routinely manage data sets.Proficiency in the firm’s computer applications and document management system, including but not limited to MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), Kofax Power PDF, iManage, Elite, Workday, and other practice area databases, as appropriate.
