Full-Time Days
Responsibilities:
The Bank Reconciliation Analyst is responsible for reviewing all bank transactions related to patient services and posted transactions to reconcile all payments daily. They will identify any variances in posting and do appropriate research to locate documentation and correct transactions as required. They will review all unmatched dollars daily and vet any payment before it is placed in an Unmatched account. The Bank Reconciliation Analyst will help recover remittance from insurance and other third-parties to reduce the Unmatched account balance. The Bank Reconciliation Analyst will help provide education to the Posting team on incorrect postings to help reduce payment variances. They will establish system and workflow fixes to ensure seamless and timely posting of funds.
  • Work with the Cash Posting Manager and Team Members to reconcile all payments between the Patient Financial System and the bank daily.
  • Researches and corrects any payment variances as soon as they are discovered.
  • Reviews all unapplied and unmatched dollars before placing payments into an Unmatched Account.
  • Manages balances in Unmatched Account and works to recover payment backups to post.
  • Provides education to Team Members on posting corrections and errors.
  • Recommends system and workflow fixes to ensure timely and accurate cash posting.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate’s degree in Healthcare, Accounting, or Finance is preferred, or experience in lieu of education.

Experience
: Minimum of three (3) years of Cash Posting required. Epic experience is a plus.

Working Knowledge:
Must possess a deep knowledge of EOBs and remittance advice, to include CARC and RARC codes. Must thoroughly understand transaction and payment types.

Interpersonal Skills
: Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with adjacent departments, staff, physicians, and other hospital leaders. Must be comfortable presenting to large groups and effectively coordinating action plans and progress.
