Job Summary
Barista (Starbucks) 32 hours rotating 11am-7:30pm (requires working every other weekend/holiday)
  • Provides beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
  • Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that partners can locate resources and product as needed.

  • Communicates information to manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create the Third Place environment during each shift.
  • Delivers quality customer service to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude and connecting with the customer. Discovers and responds to customer needs.
  • Follows Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift.
  • Recognizes and reinforces individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational methods.
  • Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
  • Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays
  • Engage with and understand our customers, including discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication
  • Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift
  • Maintains high levels of sanitation of all equipment by adhering to department policies and procedures, Health Dept. codes and J.C.A.H.O. regulations.
  • Contributes to a positive working environment and promotes teamwork by taking initiative to improve overall quality and exceed customer expectations. Maintains clear communication channels and constructive, sensitive relationships with co‑workers, supervisors, patients, customers, parents and all hospital staff.
6 months previous work experience required.
  • Frequently lifts and carries objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
  • Regularly stoops and bends.
  • Regularly reaches and grasps objects at, above and below shoulder level.
  • Regularly grasps and performs fine manipulation with hands.
  • Regularly proofreads and checks documents for accuracy.
  • Regularly inputs/retrieves words or data into or from an automated/computer system.
