About the Role
We're seeking a motivated and experienced SEO Manager to raise the bar on our search engine optimization and content marketing efforts. You'll play a pivotal role in growing our online visibility across the web, driving organic growth, and improving our search engine rankings.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and executing successful SEO programs in the past, a deep understanding of current SEO best practices, and the ability to link SEO's impact on the overall growth of Baselane’s business. Experience in marketing B2B SaaS to SMBs and solopreneurs is preferred.
What You'll Do- Refine and execute our overall SEO strategy
- Own and drive the SEO roadmapLead a continuous process to identify product, content, UX, and technical SEO projects to grow Baselane’s organic search audience
- Conduct audits and research to pinpoint growth opportunities
- Develop and execute data-driven recommendations for SEO tests and changes, complete with thorough analysis and rationale
- Collaborate with our Content Lead and SEO/Content agency in the creation and optimization of our blog and web content to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention
- Execute changes to website architecture, linking, and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords
- Carry out keyword research using software such as Ahrefs to optimize our content
- Develop and implement link-building campaigns that can be implemented at scale
- Oversee on-page optimization efforts, including title tags, meta descriptions, header tags, internal linking, and content optimization.
- Manage external relationships with third-party agencies and tools where needed
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement with AI, staying up to date with recent tools and developments
- Perform ongoing performance and data analysis, maintaining dashboards and reporting on performance on a weekly and monthly basis
- Actively monitor and share industry news, SEO trends, and new tools & techniques
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support broader company goals where needed
- Work with our web developer to conduct landing page tests and optimizations to improve user experience and conversion optimization
- Provide ongoing knowledge sharing within the company to elevate the SEO acumen of the organization
We'd Love to Hear from You If You Have- 4+ years of experience developing and executing SEO strategy
- Experience working in Google Search Console, Bing Webmasters Tools, Ahefs, SEMRush, Google Analytics, and Screaming Frog
- Knowledge of AI tools and their applications in content and SEO
- Experience running successful link-building campaigns.
- Experience with WordPress and other content management systems
- Understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods
- Deep understanding of SEO principles, techniques, and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience building dashboards, reporting on and analyzing results
- Experience using BI tools such as Looker or Sigma to analyze and present data
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Proven track record of improving search rankings and increasing organic traffic and revenue
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Able to work a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days/week in our Toronto or NYC office
