About Basis

Basis is an AI platform built to take on accounting & finance workflows end-to-end. We combine ML and accounting expertise to build systems that do real work on behalf of our users and are in production today.

We have hit product market fit, have more demand than we can meet, and are now scaling to see out the long-term vision. We just completed a yet to be announced Series A from tier-1 investors that gives us the capital to go big, and we need to do it fast.

About the role

Accounting post-Basis looks different, and you will lead the team guiding accounting firms into this new reality.

The implementation team will work closely with customers and collaborate with product, engineering, customer success, and sales to ensure Basis meets clients' needs and transforms the industry.

Success in this role will involve building out the best-in-class team, establishing scalable implementation processes, integrating customer insights into the product roadmap, and empowering your team to think about how processes should evolve in an AI world - rather than limiting to what they are today.

• Process-oriented: Skilled at breaking down complex problems into clear and repeatable steps and managing execution

• Implementation scar-tissue: Has experience working with enterprises to implement deeply-embedded software that requires change management

• Strong communicator: Clear at explaining concepts and comfortable collaborating with both senior and junior stakeholders

• First principles reasoner: Basis is not a normal company; we are building net-new capabilities and assumptions need to be questioned. We look for people who do not just know what things have worked before, but can apply those lessons to new situations

• Company-builder: Excited to lay the groundwork, technically and culturally, as we rapidly scale

• Excited about AI in accounting: Excited about the possibilities of how AI can transform accounting practices.

• Office lover: Prefers shouting across a room over a slack message, seeking full-time in-office in NYC
