The commercialization process includes evaluating technologies for commercial potential, patenting promising intellectual properties, and licensing technologies to industry for further development into products and therapies to benefit the public.Fellows will work directly with and under the guidance of BCMV licensing managers to help us accomplish our goal of providing timely and thorough technology evaluations for each new invention disclosure.Job Duties• Developing specific marketing summaries describing technologies and related intellectual property while identifying companies that are active within a particular market where the BCM technologies are likely to create value.• Discovering strategic information on each company, market-specific intellectual property landscapes, and, to the extent possible, appropriate points of contact for business development.• Performing technological and market feasibility assessments for nascent BCM technologies.• Assisting with intellectual property novelty and freedom-to-operate searches and other assorted intellectual property related tasks relevant to disclosed technologies.Minimum Qualifications• Completion of postsecondary applicable degree/training program.• May require licensure or certification in related field.Baylor College of Medicine is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action/Equal Access Employer.Requisition ID: 19934
