As a designer on our team, you will have the unique opportunity to craft innovative designs that will captivate millions of viewers across multiple channels, partner platforms, and premier content outlets. You will be a key player in pushing the boundaries of visual storytelling, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of the BBC's brand and content presentation.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities• Play a pivotal role in shaping the visual narrative across brands by contributing to the design of creative projects.• Collaborate closely with the Senior Creative Director on a variety of design initiatives spanning digital and print mediums.• Work seamlessly with senior leaders within the creative and design teams, as well as crossfunctional team members.• Demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaborate with designers, freelancers, and external partners, while working with both internal and external platforms (e.g., Samsung, Vizio, Roku, Amazon).• Cultivate positive working relationships with diverse stakeholders and departments.• Design a broad range of marketing and sales materials, including logos, key art, graphic packages, presentations, newsletters, digital banners, invites, social media assets, icons, GIFs, merchandise, and more.• Create and present decks that effectively showcase moodboards, art direction, and final concepts.• Source, retouch, and color-correct imagery for various applications.• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adapting to shifting priorities while maintaining exceptional organizational skills.• Apply brand guidelines consistently across various design mediums for marketing, FAST, and sales collateral.• Assist the Senior Creative Director in maintaining and updating brand guidelines.• Oversee projects from initial request through stakeholder approval to final delivery.• Ensure thorough quality control of all assets prior to delivery.• Ensure efficient publication or implementation of each project on the designated platforms.• Proactively audit our brands and products to identify trends and maintain a competitive edge.Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience• 3 to 5 years of experience as a Graphic Designer in-house at a media company or in an agency setting. Experience with Linear TV and FAST channels is a plus.• Possess a proactive, resourceful, and independent mindset, with a 'can-do' attitude. Highly collaborative and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. • Strong eye for visual consistency, with expertise in visual hierarchy, branding, color systems, typography, layouts, and photography. Capable of bringing these elements together to create impactful designs.• Deep understanding of the visual language and trends within the media industry.• Ability to adhere to established design guidelines, partner specifications, and naming conventions.• Proficiency in handling various file formats throughout design workflows.• Experience working across digital and social platforms.• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator. Experience with InDesign is a plus.• Skilled in color correction and image cutout techniques in Photoshop.• Able to craft compelling presentations using PowerPoint.• Experience with project management tools (e.g., Monday.com) is a plus.• Strong visual sense for selecting appropriate images.• Creative problem solver with a balanced approach, not taking themselves too seriously.• Open to receiving and providing constructive feedback.• Meticulous attention to detail is essential.• Passionate about BBC content.• Please provide a link to your online portfolio or a PDF; applications without a portfolio will likely not be considered.Compensation and BenefitsThe annual base salary range for this position is $85k-95k. This does not include other benefits that an individual may be eligible for.
