Director of Planning

Our Company:  BCI Brands designs, sources, and markets nationally and internationally an extensive range of women's career, casual sportswear, and dresses. Their products are sold through all primary retail distribution levels principally under various trademarks and under private label brand names, such as Ted Baker, Vince Camuto, CeCe, 1.state and Parker.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the planning team, ensuring effective performance and professional growth.
  • Collaborate closely with design, merchandising, production, and sales teams to align inventory plans with brand goals and market trends.
  • Develop and implement long-term and short-term merchandise planning strategies to achieve financial goals, including sales, gross margin, and inventory targets.
  • Conduct demand forecasting and trend analysis to ensure optimal inventory levels and maximize profitability.
  • Monitor market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor performance to adjust planning strategies accordingly.
  • Develop and manage budgets for planning functions, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Evaluate cost implications of planning decisions and optimize resource allocation to maximize ROI.
  • Identify and implement best practices in merchandise planning, allocation, and replenishment.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance planning tools, systems, and processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • 8+ years of prior analytical experience and Retail Math
  • Advanced MS Excel understanding (formulas, pivot tables, linking); Excel macros or Access) preferred
  • VBA/SQL experience preferred
  • Results driven; strategic, conceptual and innovative thinker
  • Excellent organizational and multi-talking skills adhering to deadlines and ensuring accuracy
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • College degree preferred

The annual salary range for this full-time, permanent position is dependent upon experience between $150,000-$175,000.
