Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Video Editor to join our dynamic video team. This role will be crucial in supporting the post-production team, assisting in organizing footage, assembling rough cuts, adding subtitles, versioning cuts, and managing projects to ensure a smooth workflow. The ideal candidate will also handle light post-producing tasks and coordination duties, helping to connect the dots between departments and external teams. 


This is a 3-month Temp to Perm role, with an opportunity to extend to full time.


Responsibilities
  • Organize raw footage and media files, ensuring all assets are properly labeled and stored for easy access by the post-production team.
  • Assist with stringouts, assembly cuts and rough cuts on video projects
  • Add subtitles and captions to videos to ensure accessibility and enhance audience engagement.
  • Collaborate with editors and producers to manage project files, timelines, and revisions.
  • Assist with light post-producing tasks, including tracking deliverables, obtaining necessary assets, and coordinating with other teams.
  • Assist with troubleshooting any technical issues that arise during the editing process.
  • Assist with onboarding freelancers.
  • Create cutdowns and social media versions. 


Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in video editing, post-production, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other video editing software.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in post-production workflows, from organizing footage to exporting final videos.
  • Basic knowledge of color correction, sound editing, and motion graphics is a plus.
  • A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills.


$65,000 - $70,000 a year
