ABOUT THE TEAM/ ROLE
Join Beamery's reporting team and help drive smarter, faster decisions across the company. We centralize data from multiple sources, transforming it into powerful insights that empower everyone to perform at their best.
We're seeking an experienced data engineer to tackle complex data challenges, using cutting-edge technologies to deliver actionable insights for our stakeholders and customers. This role offers the chance to expand your skills, collaborate with top-tier professionals, and directly impact world-class experiences for our users.
You'll work closely with our Engineering Manager and cross-functional teams, leveraging your expertise in internal data platforms to design and implement optimal solutions. Your work will involve extracting, modeling, and analyzing large datasets using modern data tools.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING AT BEAMERY
🚀Design, deploy and maintain a world class data platform using state-of-the-art technologies and tools with a team of data and software engineers.
🚀Work with stakeholders throughout the organisation with a focus on engineering, product and design to help them make the right decisions by making data available for reporting and analysis.
🚀Support the team in designing solutions based around modern data engineering best practices whilst ensuring we have migration plans in place for parts of our legacy stack.
🚀Guide the data engineering team with your technical expertise and be considered a “go to” resource for data engineering topics.
🚀Contribute to translating requirements of large data initiatives into actionable project plans and effectively communicate progress to stakeholders while using objective and data informed arguments to guide your decisions.
🚀Champion data literacy within the organisation and drive adoption rates of the data solutions the team has built.
🚀Play a pivotal role in cultivating a vibrant company culture that champions creativity by championing a welcoming atmosphere where team members are empowered to openly share their thoughts and innovative ideas.
🚀Participate in company-wide initiatives and learning & development opportunities, such as tribes, hackathons, and programs like Women in Engineering, to foster a diverse and inclusive culture
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
Data Modelling: Experience with dbt.
Data Processing: Proficient in Kafka and Spark.
Orchestration: Skilled with Airflow, Prefect, Dagster.
Monitoring & Alerting: Experience in setting up monitoring and alerts.
Infrastructure as Code: Proficient with Terraform.
Containerization: Experienced with Docker and Kubernetes.
Data Quality: Proven track record in driving data quality and observability.
Stakeholder Management: Experience working with senior stakeholders and guiding data usage.
Process Development: Ability to create scalable processes for impactful data solutions.
Communication: Strong skills in advocating technical solutions to diverse audiences.
Systems Design: Capable of designing scalable solutions for complex problems.
