The full Pay Range is $20.20-$35.96 hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.BENEFITSEmployees and their eligible family members have access to a wide array of employee benefits, such as medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage. Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Additional details regarding BECU Benefits can be found here .IMPACT YOU'LL MAKE:As a Mortgage Loan Officer – Member Direct Mortgage Sales, you’ll be the trusted partner members turn to for securing their dream home. You’ll be the guide, advisor, and advocate, walking members through the loan process from start to finish. You’ll help members navigate loan options, pre-qualification, and application steps, ensuring that each experience is seamless and informative. Through your expertise, you’ll expand BECU’s reach and influence, originating mortgages that not only meet member needs but also enhance BECU’s mission to provide accessible financial solutions.FULL-TIME SCHEDULE:· Monday-Friday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM PST· Rotational Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM PST (every 5 - 6 weeks)WHAT YOU’LL DO:• Strengthen Relationships: Cultivate and maintain excellent referral connections with realtors, builders, and members within BECU’s network, strengthening your influence and community ties.• Complete Loan Applications: Accurately and efficiently complete loan applications in the mortgage system, sharing all necessary disclosures, fees, and supporting documents to keep the process transparent for members.• Stay Informed: Keep up with industry developments by engaging in educational opportunities, staying connected through professional networks, and reading up-to-date publications.• Pre-Qualify Members: Match members with the best mortgage products to meet their needs, helping them make informed choices tailored to their financial goals.• Master Loan Systems: Apply a comprehensive understanding of BECU’s Mortgage Loan Systems, including underwriting, processing, tracking, and the mortgage lending website.• Ensure Data Integrity: Verify application details and analyze Automated Underwriting System findings, making sure all documentation aligns with BECU’s and investor requirements.• Negotiate Loan Terms: Guide members through loan terms and policies, negotiating conditions and locking loans in line with BECU’s standards and procedures.• Be the Primary Contact: Act as the main point of contact for members from application through closing, providing timely updates and addressing questions.• Collaborate for Success: Partner with Mortgage Fulfillment, Support, and Loan Servicing teams to ensure a smooth experience for members and resolve any issues throughout the loan lifecycle.• Stay Compliant: Keep informed about federal and state regulations on mortgage and real property lending, with a particular focus on first mortgage and home equity loans.• Meet Service Standards: Achieve telephone service level targets by being accessible, responsive, and ready to support members throughout their journey.• Contribute as Needed: Take on additional responsibilities as assigned, contributing to the team’s overall results.This isn’t just about ticking off tasks on a list. College degree preferred.• Minimum 4 years of lending sales, processing or underwriting required. Experience with conventional, FHA, VA and jumbo mortgage products strongly preferred.• Minimum 5 years of sales experience required. Financial Services/Financial Institution preferred.Desired Qualifications:• Strong customer service skills.• Proficient verbal and written skills to effectively communicate.• Proficient math skills, with a high degree of accuracy.• Ability to evaluate loan applications and supporting documentation.• Ability to perform complex income analysis including the ability to analyze complex tax returns, including corporate, partnerships, and sub-s corporations.• Demonstrated knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines.• Demonstrated knowledge of mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.• Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory compliance.• Comply with SAFE Act legislation, which requires annual registration as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO).JOIN THE JOURNEY:Ready to make an indelible impact?
