Team Lead (Mobile)

As a Team Lead for the Mobile Team, you will be the bridge between product management, product design, and the mobile software engineering team. You will lead a team of talented engineers focused on delivering world-class mobile experiences. By establishing a strong technical vision, resolving challenges, and fostering high-quality technical deliverables, you’ll ensure the team operates at its full potential.

With over 1 million monthly active users and billions of API requests processed, you will play a pivotal role in scaling and optimizing our mobile platform to support this rapidly growing user base.

As a key member of our amazing Mobile Team, you’ll be joining a group that has driven innovation by unifying the mobile platform codebase with Kotlin Multiplatform. The Mobile Team is dedicated to elevating mobile development standards, creating seamless, performant, and user-centric mobile applications. Your mission will include championing engineering excellence and driving innovation in mobile app development.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and Manage: Directly manage a team of 5-7 engineers, ensuring productivity, alignment, and overall team health
  • Establish Technical Vision: Own and communicate the technical strategy, ensuring alignment with product goals
  • Mentorship and Growth: Coach engineers, foster a culture of learning, and support their professional development
  • Technical Leadership: Make informed technical decisions, ensure best practices, and oversee the quality of deliverables
  • Process Optimization: Continuously improve development workflows, ensuring predictable and efficient delivery
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, Product Designers and other stakeholders to estimate effort, plan deliverables, and align on priorities

What we look for in you

  • Experience: 6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with a focus on mobile app development (iOS/Android)
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams, make technical decisions, and mentor engineers
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of mobile development frameworks, architecture patterns, and performance optimization
  • Passion for Mobile Excellence: A strong focus on building intuitive, scalable, and high-performing mobile applications
  • Strong Communication: Ability to clearly articulate ideas, technical plans, and strategies
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

  • Experience with modern mobile development tools and practices (e.g., Kotlin Multiplatform, SwiftUI)
  • Expertise in cloud-based backends and APIs that power mobile apps
