About the Role:
As an Ecademy Trainee, you will undergo our comprehensive hands-on training program to learn the foundations of autism, build your understanding of the core principles of applied behavior analysis, and prepare you to work directly with children in a 1:1 setting through clinically-designed role play sessions and active shadowing with our Care team.
At the end of the program, you will be qualified to:
Understand the core principles of applied behavior analysis
Implement behavior plans to assist children with day-to-day activities
Monitor behavior and record data on your patients’ progress
Promote language development, skill acquisition, and prosocial behaviors for individuals with autism
Obtain your RBT credential and join Elemy as a Registered Behavior Technician
The role of an RBT is a rewarding position — you’ll be an important member of children's care teams and will see the results first hand as you help improve their lives.
What You'll Need
Ecademy participants are required to meet the following criteria:
Minimum high-school degree or equivalent
At least 6 months of childcare experience preferred
US work authorization
Must pass background check
Access to a reliable car, proof of auto insurance, and valid driver's license
Negative tuberculosis test results
Access to a desktop or laptop computer and internet for the full duration of the training
Commitment to complete ~30 hours of online training within the first 2 weeks, mandatory attendance in 3 practical training sessions and an in-person competency assessment to become eligible to write your RBT exam
